Freshskin Beauty’s Roman chamomile organic essential oil is distilled using steam from the small, white daisy-like flowers of the demure, lacy-leaved herb, which grows extensively in central and eastern Europe. It has a distinctive, intense aroma which some describe as similar to apples and straw. With a long tradition in herbal medicine, chamomile is now most often used as a herbal tea.
The sweet notes of Roman chamomile blend particularly well with floral geranium, lavender and rose. The oil also stands up well to herbaceous oils such as marjoram and clary sage and the woody notes of cedarwood and rosewood.
